How this is calculated
- Ceramic Fiber Wool is supplied in two roll thicknesses only: 25mm (610mm × 7200mm per roll) and 50mm (610mm × 3600mm per roll).
- Glass Wool is supplied in two roll thicknesses only: 25mm (1.2m × 20m per roll) and 50mm (1.2m × 15m per roll).
- To reach a thickness other than 25mm or 50mm, multiple layers of a roll are stacked — e.g. 75mm = three 25mm layers, or one 50mm + one 25mm layer.
- Total square metres = Area to Cover × Number of Layers × (1 + Wastage%), since each layer consumes the full area again.
- Estimated weight = Total Square Metres × Roll Thickness × Density.
- Default densities (editable): Glass Wool ~24 kg/m³, Ceramic Fiber Wool ~128 kg/m³ — typical values for standard commercial-grade rolls; confirm the exact figure for your specific grade with us.
