Food-Safe Sealing and Gasketing for Food & Beverage Processing Plants

Food and beverage processing lines combine two demands that are often in tension: aggressive, frequent cleaning (heat, caustic wash-down, sanitisers) and strict food-contact safety. Materials that seal well but degrade under repeated CIP cycles become a contamination risk long before they visibly fail.

Product-contact seals and gaskets

Pure PTFE Gland Packing in food/FDA-grade white PTFE is the standard for pump and valve shaft seals in direct product contact, resisting the full range of cleaning chemicals without contaminating the product stream.

Flexible gaskets and seals

Silicone Rubber Sheet handles flexible gasketing on ovens, retort equipment and general food-contact seals across its -60°C to +230°C range, in food-grade and translucent variants for visual inspection.

Release and non-stick surfaces

PTFE Coated Fiberglass Fabric provides the non-stick, heat-resistant surface baking, drying and packaging lines depend on, and PTFE Mesh Conveyor Belt does the same for continuous drying and curing ovens where airflow through the belt also matters.

Frequently asked questions

Does food-grade PTFE cost significantly more than standard grades? There is a premium, but it is modest relative to the compliance and contamination risk of using a non-certified material in product contact.

How often should product-contact seals be replaced in a food plant? On a fixed schedule tied to your CIP cycle count rather than waiting for visible degradation — by the time wear is visible, cleaning chemicals have often already begun attacking the seal.

Tell us your CIP/SIP parameters and product type and we’ll confirm the right food-grade material for each seal point.
