How this is calculated
- Gasket area (ring gasket) = π × (Outer Radius² − Inner Radius²). Full-face gaskets are approximated the same way since bolt holes remove only a small fraction of area; custom shapes are treated as an equivalent ring for estimation.
- Total gasket area = Gasket Area × Number of Pieces.
- Sheet usage assumes a 65% cutting utilisation — a standard estimating allowance for nesting circular/ring shapes on rectangular sheet stock, so the suggested sheet quantity already includes realistic wastage.
- These figures are for budgeting and RFQ purposes — final nesting/yield can vary with your cutting method and gasket layout.
