Ceramic Fiber Tape is woven from alumina-silica ceramic yarn, usually reinforced with fibreglass filament and a stainless-steel wire for strength. It is used for high-temperature lagging, sealing and wrapping of hot pipework and joints.
It withstands continuous temperatures up to around 1050°C, well beyond ordinary fibreglass tape, and stays flexible for wrapping complex shapes.
