Water and wastewater treatment combines several distinct sealing challenges in one facility: clean raw or treated water pumps, grit-laden intake and sludge lines, and chemical dosing systems — each needing a different packing or gasket choice rather than one blanket spec.

Clean water pumps and valves

Cotton Grease Packing and Jute Packing remain the most economical, appropriate choice for general clean-water pumps running at low pressure and moderate temperature.

Grit and sludge handling

Where raw intake or sludge lines carry abrasive grit, standard packing wears prematurely. Reinforced grades built for abrasion resistance — the same family as Aramid Gland Packing used in mining and sugar-mill slurry service — extend service life significantly over standard cotton or acrylic packing on these lines.

Chemical dosing and disinfection systems

Chlorination, coagulant dosing and pH-adjustment lines need chemical resistance that ordinary packing lacks. Pure PTFE Gland Packing resists the full pH range these dosing chemicals span.

Flange gaskets and rubber linings

Rubber Sheet in EPDM grade covers general flange gasketing and channel lining resistant to water and weathering, while Non-Asbestos Jointing Sheet handles standard pipeline flanges across the plant.
