Frequently Asked Questions

What temperature can Ceramic Fiber Wool withstand?

Standard grade is classified to 1260°C, with continuous service around 1050°C; higher-alumina and zirconia grades go further.

What densities and thicknesses are available?

Common densities are 96–128 kg/m³ in 12.5 mm, 25 mm and 50 mm thick blanket.

Why choose ceramic fibre over other insulation?

It is lightweight with very low heat storage and excellent thermal-shock resistance, so furnaces heat and cool faster and use less fuel.
