Overview
Rubber strip is one of the simplest and most cost-effective sealing decisions you can make on a project. It is flexible rubber — commonly a neoprene grade — supplied in long, narrow strips ready to seal an edge, a gap or a joint. Where a rubber sheet is cut into gaskets and linings, a rubber strip is the ready-made long-run form for sealing and cushioning along a line: door and panel edges, frame gaps, hatch seals and expansion joints.
Neoprene is a deliberately versatile grade. It resists UV and weather, so it holds up outdoors without perishing; it is waterproof, so it seals out rain and moisture; and it resists a range of chemicals and oils, so it survives in workshops and industrial settings. That combination is why the same strip is used to weatherproof a home or garage for the rainy season, to seal and quiet a sound studio, and to seal and cushion joints on a construction site.
It is also genuinely easy to work with — flexible enough to follow curves and corners, and simple to cut to length on site with a knife, with no special tools. That ease of handling, plus the low cost, is what makes it a default sealing and cushioning material rather than a specialist one.
It is supplied in a range of widths and thicknesses to suit the gap and the duty. For gasket cutting, lining and matting from a full sheet, see our rubber sheet in SBR, NBR, EPDM, silicone and Viton grades. Tell us the width, thickness and whether it is indoor or exposed, and we will match the strip.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between rubber strip and rubber sheet?
A strip is the ready-made long, narrow form for sealing along an edge or joint — you cut it to length and fit it. A sheet is a full sheet you cut into gaskets, linings and matting. Choose the form that matches the job.
Can I use it outdoors?
Yes — neoprene rubber strip resists UV and weather and is waterproof, so it holds up outdoors without perishing quickly. That is why it is used to weatherproof homes, garages and site work.
Is it chemical resistant?
It resists a range of chemicals and oils, with the exact resistance depending on the rubber grade. For a specific chemical exposure, tell us the medium and we will confirm the right grade — the same grade guidance as our rubber sheet range.
Is it easy to fit?
Yes — it is flexible enough to follow curves and corners and simple to cut to length on site with a knife, with no special tools. That ease of handling is a big part of its appeal.
What width and thickness should I order?
Match the width and thickness to the gap you are sealing and how much movement or compression it has to take. Send us the gap and whether it is indoor or exposed and we will recommend the strip.
Do you supply other rubber grades?
Yes — through our rubber sheet range we supply SBR, NBR, EPDM, silicone and Viton, each with different oil, heat, weather and chemical resistance. Strips can be matched to the grade your duty needs.
Need a quote or a spec check?
Send us your operating conditions and we will confirm the right grade for the job.
