Why choose Aramid Gland Packing for slurry pumps?
Aramid fibre resists abrasion and extrusion far better than ordinary yarns, so it lasts much longer on gritty slurry and pulp service.
What temperature and pH suits Aramid Gland Packing?
It is rated to around 260°C across pH 3–12; for stronger chemicals or higher heat we recommend a PTFE or graphite grade.
Can Aramid Gland Packing be used with softer packings?
Yes — it is often fitted as hard end rings around a softer graphite or PTFE core to prevent extrusion.
